Few places pack as much history into a small footprint as the Historic Triangle. Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown sit within a few miles of each other, connected by the scenic Colonial Parkway, and together they tell the story of early America from settlement to independence.

Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg is the centerpiece... a restored 18th-century capital where costumed interpreters, working trades, and historic taverns bring the era to life. Beyond the Historic Area you will find the College of William & Mary, one of the oldest universities in the country, along with shops, restaurants, and Busch Gardens just outside town.

Jamestown

Jamestown marks the first permanent English settlement in North America, founded in 1607. Historic Jamestowne and the Jamestown Settlement museum let you walk the archaeological site and step aboard replica ships along the James River. It is a striking reminder of how far back this region's roots run.

Yorktown

Yorktown, on the York River, is where the decisive siege of the Revolutionary War played out in 1781. Today it pairs battlefield history with a relaxed waterfront... a beach, shops, and restaurants looking out over the water. It is a favorite spot for a slow afternoon.

Living here means all of this is in your backyard. Whether you are relocating or just exploring, I am always happy to share the corners of the Triangle that do not always make the guidebooks.
